Since the introduction of required Home Learning periods during the Covid-19 pandemic, Sandringham Primary School has developed and refined our Home Learning model to provide families with a structured and engaging program for student learning. We are very proud of this model, which includes a focus on wellbeing, live sessions from our Art, Library, P.E., Mandarin and Performing Arts specialist teachers, the provision of a Weekly Learning Planner to ensure a structured approach to teaching and learning, and several live sessions each day for students to tune in, learn and reflect online with their class teacher.
With engagement and interaction with classmates and class teachers – along with year level peers and teachers – happening daily, we like to finish our weeks with a whole-school Fun Friday. Last Friday afternoon, our Principal, Mrs Louise Neave, and Acting Assistant Principal, Mrs Jenny Parsons, presented an online cooking and reading session for students of all year levels. A fantastic way to finish another week of Home Learning!
