Sandringham Primary News

Welcome to Sandringham Primary School.

As one of Victoria’s oldest primary schools, Sandringham Primary has educated children since 1855 and is a beloved and respected part of the Bayside community.

With around 500 students and a dedicated and highly professional teaching team, I am pleased to introduce a school enriched by both our history and our school’s five values, which we strive to demonstrate every day:

Respect.  Resilience.  Relationships.  Responsibility.  Resourcefulness.

The values have been called upon more than ever by our school community since fire destroyed a significant part of Sandringham Primary School on Saturday 1st February 2020.  Arrangements have been put in place to ensure continued learning for our students until our return to the Sandringham Primary site and I am incredibly proud of the way our teachers, students, families and support staff have faced this challenging time.  The Sandy Primary community spirit is legendary and this has indeed been the case through these recent difficult times.

Sandringham Primary School has a long and proud history.  Whilst the events of February 2020 have certainly created a new page in this history, I know the story ahead for Sandringham Primary School is one of triumph, solidarity, and above all, continued excellence in student learning and wellbeing.

From all of us at Sandringham Primary School, we thank the local community and beyond for their kindness and support.  It has been gratefully appreciated.
