Outdoor Play Space Project
In 2017, Sandy Primary embarked on our exciting Outdoor Play Space project.
Stage 1 was the Junior Outdoor Play Space….
With a huge fundraising effort in 2017, the Junior Outdoor Play Space was completed. The hardwork was all worth it; our students love playing in this imaginative, interactive and fun-filled play area.
This was a tremendous effort by our school families and the local community. We should all be very proud of what we have created!
Stage 2 of the Outdoor Play Space was a New Games Surface in the junior school area. This is the space between the Art Room and Year 1 buildings, around to the end of the Year 4 buildings.
Thanks to our 2018 fundraising efforts, Sandy Primary completed the resurfacing of this area and rejuvenated the gardens near the Community Entrance. Painting of the games, featuring feedback and fun play ideas from Sandy Primary students, was finished in 2019.
Well done to our school community for achieving this 2018 fundraising goal!
The next stage - and our goal for fundraising in 2019 - was to Resurface the Basketball and Netball Courts at Sandringham Primary School.
These courts are used by both the students and the local community, so this is a genuine community goal.
Sandy Primary surpassed our fundraising goals for 2019, enabling us to not only resurface and update our basketball and netball courts, but also install lighting - perfect for the local basketball and netball teams using our facility out of hours! Well done Sandy Primary community.
