In recognition of International Nurse’s Day, our Year 1 students recently undertook a “Me & You” session that focused on Gratitude.
The students created posters to show their gratitude towards nurses for what they have done for us during the health crisis. The posters were photographed by the parents and we sent them to Monash Hospital at Clayton, where they are being put up on a wall.
We are very proud of our Year 1 team for creating these artworks and recognising these wonderful heroes in our community. Human Literacy is a key part of our teaching and learning here at SPS and this project illustrates strengthening the Emotional element with a focus on the competencies ‘Expressing thanks’ and ‘Understanding appreciation’.
