This week we have officially unveiled a vibrant new mural at Sandringham Primary School.
This stunning project was made possible through the collaboration of our 2025 and 2026 Visual Art Year 6 SALT (Student Action Leadership Team), talented local artist Kerry Evitts, the generous and community-minded team at Community Bank Sandringham, and our wider school community. We are also very grateful to our amazing Visual Arts teacher Ms Emma Giddings for initiating and organising all the steps to create this beautiful addition!
Our students played a key role in the design process, selecting the natural and built features that make our school and beachside neighbourhood so special. This included the SALT leaders coordinating a school-wide nature-themed art competition, which invited students from Prep to Year 6 to contribute ideas. Selected students also worked alongside Kerry and the SALT leaders to complete the mural.
The result is a truly collaborative mural which beautifully reflects the unique character of the Sandringham community and the wonderful place we are fortunate to live, learn and grow.
