Our Kitchen Garden Program is an important part of Sandringham Primary School. In last week’s lesson, students focused on making lasting botanical keepsakes of the Kitchen Garden at Sandy Primary Village before the move home to Bamfield Street in 2022. Under the guidance of our Kitchen Garden Specialist, Ms Laura Myers, students made salt dough discs pressed with botanicals found in the Kitchen Garden that will form a collaborative art installation for the new school.
Some beautiful designs were created then baked to preserve them.
All the students were very enthusiastic and enjoyed being creative and discovering new plants to use for the discs.
